First Day OOTD + My Favorite Stores

Schools that don't require uniforms are heaven sent for us fashionistas and fashionistos.
We can wear whatever the hell we want to! <3
Speaking of schools, here's my OOTD for the first day of my third year in college:

- I basically got inspired by hip hop artists of today like Kanye West, Drake, and Justin Bieber to name a few, making me wear this oversized tee from Topman. The artists that i've mentioned are often seen sporting shirts like this, and I think it's the modernized version of oversized jerseys old hiphoppers used to wear.
This tee is perfect for the heat that we are experiencing in the Philippines for it is made from sportswear materials that are light and cool. I scored this on sale from Topman (SM Aura branch) not a long time ago.

But of course, I only got inspired by them meaning I didn't really duplicated their look; but made my own version of it. So I wore a light wash denim shorts that I bought from a thrift store and finished it off with bling blings. $$$

For my footwear, I went for the sock look that everyone is going crazy for.
My socks are also from Topman and my New Balance sneakers are from Local Celebrity Manila.

Now a couple of my readers are asking me about my favorite stores in the Philippines that's why I decided to compose a short list of my top picks and put it here
(This list is arranged from my least fave to my top fave, for the sake of thrilling you guys. lol)

MY TOP 5 CLOTHING STORES IN THE PHILIPPINES:
5. Topman / Topshop
- The OOTD above proves to you my love for this brand.
In my opinion, Topman & Topshop carries the newest and trendiest of pieces making it the most influential and the most trendsetting store in the Philippines. I already proved to myself that no matter what the season and the peg i'm going for is, i'll always find something that I will dig in Topman. The downside of this store however is the way they priced their pieces. Sometimes I would think that their products are a bit overpriced. Another thing is since this brand is influential, some of their products can also be seen in other stores for a lower price.

4. Bershka
- Bershka had only been around in the Philippines for quite sometime but it already made it into my heart and into this list <3
The reason is that this brand has a specific look in which I can totally relate to and I can honestly imagine myself rocking each and every singly thing that are on the racks and shelves of this store.
I love the effortless, grungy and chic vibe that I get from their clothes.
Their price range however is almost the same as that of Topman/Topshop making it a bit un-affordable for me.

3. Penshoppe
-Penshoppe, the only Philippine based store in my list (LOL, that's horrible)
Alright, I'll admit it; I'm one of those who got infected by Colonial Mentality.
Thus, making me think that everything that is imported is always better than those that're solely made and distributed in the Philippines. (Trust me, I hate this attitude of mine too; and i'm still workin' on it.)
But this isn't the case when it comes to Penshoppe.
Ya see, Penshope also offer pieces that are both basics and on trend. The quality of their products are also good and you're guranteed that you're helping our economy since it's a Philippines based brand. On top of all that, they also sell in affordable prices perfect for fashionistas and fashionistos on a budget like me. :)

2. Forever 21 / 21 Men
- By now, you prolly know & understand the things that I look for in a store: Clothes that are on trend but doesn't sacrifice its quality and are in affordable prices. And I think these are all covered by Forever 21.
This store literally has everything for everyone.
And it's not only the clothes that are great, but the whole store as well for it gives you that youthful feel. (Forever 21 nga kase, lol)
All of their pieces are also being sold at affordable prices making it one of my faves of all time <3

1. Random Stores around Divisoria and Market Market
- Now my number one has to be the stores that are not uber popular or commercialized and can only be seen on malls like Divisoria and Market Market.
I'm talking stores like Local Celebrity Manila, Androgyne Manila, MuraDito, and Push Thru. Now these stores has the most badass pieces in extremely low prices. Everytime i'm in dire need of a special outfit, I always visit these stores 1st before anything else on the list.

And that's my list!
Tell me your opinion about it :)

FanBoy

I believe that every single one of us views someone as a source of inspiration; whether it be for the looks, style or life in  general. I have to say that mine has to be Miley.
Yep, Miley freakin' Cyrus.

Why?
For I can genuinely relate to her and I'm attracted to her beauty both inside and out.
I can relate to her through the transitions that she made these past couple of months. I'm a big fan of changes and I loved watching her evolve from a Disney princess to the fearless woman that she is right now.

To better express my love,
I composed a Miley-themed outfit for this particular post.

Basically the main element that I wanted to show here is this super dope muscle tee from She Styles.
And what I did is paired it with comfy camo shorts, for I think that this combination is perfect for the Summer heat.
To make things more interesting, I also wore high socks that're printed with marijuana leaves, and I believe this adds up to the Miley vibe that i'm going for considering the things she been doing lately. lol

OUTFIT DEETS:
Muscle Tee from She Styles
Shorts from Teranova
Shoes from Nike
Socks from Mastermind Manila
Cap from MuraDito

Bandana Boy

Whattup, readers!
Here's another outfit post from yours truly.
Just a lil' background: I wore this during our Mother's day celebration to make my mom extra happy for she was the one who bought the shirt for me <3
- Just check out my shirt!
I just think it's so dope and i'm obsessed with it, for aside from its super trendy print; it is also made from a very comfortable and lightweight material. Definitely perfect for the Summer <3

- To adhere to the shirt, I chose to accessorize it with a snapback that (almost) has the same pattern.

For my footwear, I chose to wear these two tone sneakers that are super casual and comfortable.

OUTFIT DEETS
Shirt from H&M
Pants from Markus
Watch from Tag Heuer
Shoes from Payless

That's about it!
Tell me what you guys think about this one.

Fashion Shows - CHANEL Fall-Winter 2014/15 Ready-to-Wear

Although I consider menswear as my expertise, I just have to make a post discussing Chanel's Fall-Winter ready-to-wear collection for 2014/15.
Why? For the sole reason that it is CHANEL, my favorite brand on earth <3
For me, Chanel is the ultimate meeting place for all fashionistas. No matter what your taste is, you'll always find something you'll like in Chanel.

This season's collection is once again a breath of fresh air. Karl Lagerfeld was able to surprise his audience by transforming luxury consumerism to casual style. The presence of high fashion sneakers and heelless boots made the collection live up to CoCo Chanel's perspective that a woman should feel good in order to look good.

Aside from the footwear, a new form of runway is also used.
A backdrop of a supermarket complete with fruits, canned goods and liquor aisles, giving us an idea on how a regular supermarket would look like if everyone wears Chanel (and darn! it's a great place to be) is just pure genius.

For the clothes, the collection featured the perfect balance of luxury and sporty.
Every piece looks amazing yet wearable from a day to day basis, this is through the usage of jerseys, knits, tweeds and metallic fabrics.

Since the collection featured a lot of impeccable looks,
it's impossible to state my top 3 picks; so imma go ahead and choose my top 10:

10.
- I knew it! Light shades of pink will be on trend this season <3
There's just something about this feminine color that is very likable and i'm glad Karl saw it too.
I think anyone who would rock that slouchy trousers would look like a sophisticated princess! and that puffy bolero is a cute way to keep oneself warm.

9.
- I find this look very interesting for it managed to use the deconstruction technique but still maintained the overall glamour feel that Chanel is known for.
I feel like the jacket and everything else would look so good when used with basic staples.

8.
- The colorful metallic dress underneath that metallic jacket is just so glamorous.

7.
- The strategical pairing of the black top with minimal colorful details together with that fitted high waisted artsy skirt is just brilliant. It gives an illusion of kaleidoscope explosion that started from the skirt all the way to the top.

6.
- The classic Chanel jacket in an unexpected color <3
I love how they used a wild high cut printed sneakers for this classic jacket + skirt combo.

5.
- This sleek coat starts off my top 5.
I just love looking at the fabric used here, it gives me an idea of having a very glamorous Christmas.

4.
- For this look, I love the playful silhouette made by the jacket and the skirt.
The fabric used also screams Chanel, but my favorite part has to be the surprising pop of metallic silver <3

3.
- For this look, I love how each piece compliments each other.
Nothing is getting washed out and nothing is standing out either, everything is shown beautifully and effectively <3

2.
- For me this look sums up the whole collection.
There's the sporty vibe from the fitted deconstructed pieces and the classical feel is also present because of the jacket. The fact that this look is the 1st one to walk the runway also made me remember this.

1.
- And lastly, these 2 are my top 1 :)
All my favorite elements are present here: the light pink color, the classic Chanel suit and Chanel menswear <3
These surely are the showstoppers for me.

How about you?
What are your faves from this collection?

10 Basic Wardrobe Essentials for Men

Building your own wardrobe, just like building a house, can be tricky without a stable foundation. The foundations that i'm referring here are not cement and pillars, but rather basic pieces that every guy should have in his wardrobe. In short, we'll call them wardrobe essentials.

Having these wardrobe essentials is the first step in discovering your own style and building your own set of clothes. This is because all the elements that are included here are so versatile that it could suit any age and any taste. In addition to that, these pieces are also timeless and will never be "out" of Fashion.

Being a boy who is fond of switching up styles, I consider these essentials as priced possessions, and i'm excited in sharing them with you:

1. The Classic Button Down Shirt
Brand: Topman BUY IT HERE
- The classic button down shirt is crucial for every man's wardrobe. It is very versatile and can easily be dressed up or down: Pair it with trousers to show formality or use it casually with jeans.
Having one in a solid color or even in a checkered print can answer your dressing problems on various settings such as churches and semi formal gatherings.

2. Slim Fit Jeans
Brand: Levi's
- The perfect slim fit jeans (preferably dark washed) can take you anywhere!
With it hugging your legs and defining your masculine shape, the ladies will surely go wild. The fashion critics could never complain too, for these are staples and could never go out of Fashion.

3. Plain Tee's
Brand: Topman
Plain tee's are obviously included in my list!
They are the perfect foundation for layering clothes.
Wear it with a blazer or cardigan for a smart yet laidback vibe or just wear it alone with jeans.
Having lots of these in various colors could also work up in your advantage by increasing your choices but I suggest going for black, gray or white.

4. Sweatshirts
Brand: 21MEN BUY IT HERE
For me, sweatshirts aren't just a trendy thing; they are also staples!
This is because they can serve you well in layering. Put it over a button down shirt or under a chunky jacket and you'll look fine!
Sweatshirts with loud prints and texts are currently on trend these days, but for wardrobe starters I suggest avoiding loud prints and going for solid monochromatic colors instead.

5. Desert Boots
Brand: Clark's BUY IT HERE
- Desert boots are the perfect shoes for starting fashiontistos. They could be worn in both formal and casual settings. Having a pair in brown, gray or black suede (or even leather!) would match everything in your wardrobe really well.

6. Classic Blazer
Brand: Topman BUY IT HERE
- Look dapper in a snap!
A blazer could make a man look handsome in various ways: you could wear it over a button down shirt for a classic get up or pair it with a plain tee for a professional yet effortless vibe.

7. Khaki Chinos
Brand: VANCL BUY IT HERE
Chinos are the perfect balance of casual and formal.
Having one in khaki could make a man look classy yet free spirited at the same time.

8. Silver Watch
Brand: GUESS
- A man's ensemble isn't complete without a watch.
Aside from its time updating purpose, a watch could also make a man look classy and collected.
For starters, having one in silver is much more preferable.

9. Aviator Glasses
Brand: Ray-Ban
- There's just something in these glasses that makes a man look cool!
whether you are wearing them to protect your eyes from the sun's harmful rays or just to complete an outfit, the sure thing is that you're gonna look good!

10. Man Purse
Brand: Giorgio Armani
- Women are no't the only ones who has the right to own a bag! Us men should also be able to carry our wallets, keys, phones efficiently and effectively with a bag too, and having one in a messenger or clutch type is the way to do it.
The good man purse will not only help you carry your stuffs but make you look mature, classy and professional as well.

And those are the 10 basic wardrobe essentials for men!
Wear them all together or pair one with a trendy piece and you'll surely look good :)

Supernatural

"Kiss me, ki-ki-kiss me
Infect me with your love and
Fill me with your poison"

Waddup!? I'm about to feature the outfit that I wore to school last Wednesday a.k.a. another ordinary day:

Okay, maybe it's not another ordinary day; for i'm actually wearing something fresh and colorful!
I usually go with something grunge-y for that is what I consider my style and where i'm comfortable with; But taking risks is always fun and I won't have anything to lose anyways

The main reason why I wore this all colorful outfit is because I want to compensate my shirt. This shirt (apart from being really really colorful) completely describes me for the galaxy print is trendy (so am I!) plus it has the words "I am a dreamer" written in the middle of it.

To top it off, I think this shirt has a psychological effect for it made me happy and energetic throughout the whole day :D

SEXY BACK!
(Shirt, shorts and shoes all came from MURADITO)

"Long hair, don't care" -sincerely yours, legs

(Rings and bracelet: Divisoria; Necklace: a gift from John Paul Policiano Ponla :P)

Thanks for reading :)
