Disney Inspired Sketches Part 1

In my last outfit post, I promised to talk more about Disney.
For I am a big fan of it and am excited to share my thoughts and experiences about it with you.
So for this post, I decided to sketch some deigns inspired by three of the Disney Princesses specifically Snow White, Jasmine(from Aladin,) and Aurora(Sleeping Beauty.)

(Looks from left to right: Snow White, Jasmine, Aurora)

The first look that I would wanna talk about is the one inspired by Snow White:
With her being the first Disney Princess ever created by Disney, it is safe to say that she is the most popular one. She was introduced on the late 30's and her signature dress is a representation of class and romance.
And I believe that I was able to capture these three characteristics with this modern mini dress.
This dress has two printed fabrics combined to feature modernness and sophistication, however I didn't just left the dress alone for it kinda looks old. So I added a belt with a cropped tail-like detail. This way, the design appears to be more thought through and interesting.

Princess Jasmine:
Princess Jasmine is from the movie Aladin, and she came from the Middle Eastern kingdom of Agrabah.
Being born a princess, she is known for having a lot of golden jewelries.
A blue green off shoulder bra with matching harem pants and gold shoes are her signature outfit and I based my design from these.
Like her signature clothes, I also gave Princess Jasmine two pieces of garments:
A detailed crop top and printed silk harem pants.
For the top, I made it look Arabian-inspired by adding a gold solid neck piece. This neck piece is sewn together with the garment, making it look expensive and fit for a Princess.
For the pants, I made it look literally Disney, by adding a print of the Genie from the movie Aladin. I imagine these pants to be made from a silky material like silk, for it to reflect cool and interesting colors.
I also added a lot of gold bangles and gold gladiator shoes to finish up the prestigious modern Arabian look.

Princess Aurora:
Aurora or Briar Rose is currently my favorite Disney princess right now.
Both because of her look and her movie's story line.
That is why apart from the other two looks that're inspired by the princesses' physical characteristics, I decided to make this design different by basing it from the story and not from the character.
(shh! Sleeping Beauty is Sleeping LOL)
This mini dress is made completely from fine leather. It has uneven cuts on the skirt, to create a more modern and interesting look.
However the main focus here are the spikes that are located on the shoulder pads and the edges of the dress. This is because in the movie, Princess Aurora was put into a spell by a witch by having her prick her finger on a needle, thus giving me the idea of incorporating sharp objects in the design.
This dress is noticeably dark and Gothic for these are the emotions that are often felt by me every time I watch or get reminded of the movie.

And that's it :)
3 designs in one post,
Watch out for more :)))
